My 1st White Space LO: "My Scrappy Life"

I too had been scared of creating a white space project.  Though I'm fascinated how fellow scrappers could create a fabulous artwork with it.  Here's my 1st try at a white space layout, entitled: "My Scrappy Life" . . .

This layout documents how I started with the real scrapbooking stuff. . . just look at the journaling.  I just so love the sentiment: "I could have scrapped all night".  It very much shows my addiction to the craft. lol

SUPPLIES:  Paper: SEI, Flowers: Sassafras, Alphabet Foam Stickers: All About Scrapbooking, Dimensional Stickers: K&Company, Marker: Parker, Other: Construction Paper, Ribbon.

Challenges Entered Into:
1.  Colorful Creations Monday Mixer  - White Space Challenge
2.  Inspired Blueprint's Sketch Challenge

4 Nieces & Nephews with Butterfly LO

I'm still fascinated with the use of patches that I created another layout with a butterfly patch.  I've posted previously my 1st layout with an orange butterfly patch.  Now, I'm posting here an LO with a white butterfly patch.

I've taken inspiration with my nieces and nephews by my cousin for this LO of mine.  Without further ado, I'm presenting my LO, entitled: "I have 4 Nieces and Nephews by my cousin."

SUPPLIES: Patterned Paper: courtesy of Janice Lane Sogea, Construction Paper: KYT Manufacturing & Marketing Inc., Marker: Parker, Sketch: PageMaps, Other: Art Paper, Butterfly Patch.

CHALLENGES ENTERED INTO:
1.  COLORFUL CREATIONS RANDOM WEDNESDAY CHALLENGE - polka dotted pattern paper, number 4 in the title, 4 people;
2.  Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge – Birds and/or Butterflies

Spring LO with Flowers & Butterflies

Though we don't have Spring in our country, I was still inspired to create an LO following a Spring challenge with flowers and butterflies.  I made use of my photos of my long time friend who visited us after migrating to another country years and years back.  It was her time to "spring" at the chance to come here and visit her nativeland.  Thus, the word "SPRING" in the title of the layout, decored with spring-themed elements e.g. flowers, butterflies and a bird.

The butterfly in this LO was stamped and punched.  I made use of my new-found toy errr puncher.  I've been keeping this puncher for the right layout.  And viola!  Here's my layout:

TITLE: SPRING back to MANILA

CHALLENGES ENTERED:
1.  Colorful Creations Potpourri Challenge;
2.  Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge – Birds and/or Butterflies
3.  The Craft Garden - July 2011 Bird Challenge

I'm so happy and thrilled to be published with Practical Scrappers!!

Thank you to the Practical Scrappers Team!!

Here's my published "Butterfly Card":

TITLE:  BUTTERFLY CARD

SUPPLIES: Paper: Hallmark, Glitter Glue: Leeho, Marker: Dong A My Metal Gel Ink, Other: Cardstock, Specialty Papers

DESIGN NOTES:  I made use of a butterfly template to shape the card into a butterfly.  The template also has butterfly spots marked making it easier to put color on the butterfly card's wings.  I outlined the spots and the butterfly with different colors of glitter glue to add sparkle to the card.  I made use of black paper and metal gel ink for the card's short dedication found inside.  Your card is now ready to fly.

My Creative Space - My Craft Room

I've so wanted to share my creative space and what better way to share than to join a special craft-room celebration with Creative Keepsakes.  I'm also joining Rochelle Bien's Beautiful Craft Spaces' blog giveaway. . . ending June 15, 2011.

I've been blessed to gain approval to use our family's computer room for my own personal use.  It used to be where I held office while being a free-lance professional.  Now, my world is full of creativity with the new-found hobby of scrapbooking. I was also given exclusive use of the family computer for all my photo editing/cropping/tinkering, internet use and scrapbook sites surfing. Below are photos of my creative space:

My craft table for all my creative needs . . .

Computer for my photo downloading and internet.

My cart of scrapbook supplies
My Album Cabinet
I hope you enjoyed looking over photos of my creative space / craft room.  I have yet to re-arrange shelves including my existing album cabinet to make way for more albums as I continue to grow and indulge in the craft.  I know my humble cart of supplies may grow as I get to acquire more and more scrapbook materials.  But I do agree that one must only procure or acquire what is reasonable and would be of use in the future.   Hey, am I being realistic by that? lol  I'm not a hoarder but I get carried away when I see beautiful, creative and innovative materials.  Hahaha!

Anyway, thanks for viewing my photos and for dropping by . . .

P.S.  It's my honor for my craft room to be featured in Rochelle Mae Bien's blog, entitled:  Beautiful Craft Spaces.  To visit the blogpost feature and her blog, click here
