"Crisostomo" LO for Kaboodle Doodles with Challenge #81 - Ribbons (7th DT Work)

Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #81 is Ribbons!.  Winner to be drawn randomly with sponsor prize of 3 images from Karber Digital on Tues, Aug. 30, 2011 at US timezone.  Participants have until Sun., Aug. 28, 2011 to link their entries at the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog.

A ribbons challenge should be easy peasy, right?  But I guess I ran out of beautiful ideas for an LO to make.  I wasn't in the mood for a card with ribbons.  And so, I took to creating a simple and practical LO . . . I told myself why not splatter ribbons all over.  Nope, not bows but the ribbons themselves all in bright and shocking colors to me.  I set them against black with a set of 2 photos in mind plus Karber's digi image . . . . viola!  I now have an LO, though not ribbon after ribbon in layers as I originally conceptualized . . . just enough ribbons with in-between spaces for the viewer to be able to breathe-in the sparklingly bright colors. . .  I'd say simpicity and yet an attention-calling LO:

 

What do you think?  I just finished it off with a prima flower with All About Scrapbooking's chipboard swirls on both sides.  Now, does it merit the adjective . . . a bit of elegance?  errr . . . don't know . . . probably not. lol {wink, wink}
