I've submitted these layouts for the magazine's Scallops Call: 1 with a scalloped die cut and the other 1 a handmade/homemade half scallop die cut. We knew that scallops had been the craze lately in scrapbooking and so I guess that's the reason why the magazine dedicated a portion to these wonderful invention.
As promised here they are without cuts on the layout details - meaning with full details included here:
TITLE: Cagsaua Ruins - Daraga, Albay (BICOL) |

I would like to thank my former officemate Racquel (Raki) Villazor for the wonderful adventure I had on the day the photo on this layout was taken. Thanks also to Glenda Macayan for affording me the said shot. That would be my 1st and last mountain climbing / mountaineering experience. With this trip, I've discovered my strength capability and limitations. And I would cherish the experience and the camaraderie I had with the group. Again, many thanks!
TITLE: Happy Chinese New Year & Happy Valentine's Day |
SUPPLIES: Be Loved “Beautiful Branches” Paper: My Mind’s Eye Paper Kit, Flower: Jolee’s Boutique, Glitter Glue: Leeho, Others: Red & Gold Ribbons. Page Inspired by Jenny Sorensen's Layout.
JOURNALING: 2010 Year of the Tiger
Here’s greeting everyone a Happy Valentine’s Day and “Kung Hei Fat Choi” on the Lunar Year.
Wearing a black printed cheongsam to celebrate the 2 occasions at Josephine’s, Tagaytay. February 14, 2010.
DESIGN NOTES: Wanting to economize, I made a template out of cardboard from an existing die-cut paper. I just traced away.
For the page, I utilized my personally created cardboard template. I traced half of it on a plain red specialty paper and I just cut away. For a more fabulous effect, I applied a touch of gold on the edges of the scallop half-circle. And for a glittering finish, I adhered gold ribbon across the page, finishing off with a huge glittering red ribbon on one side. Now, does it look fabulous enough for the Chinese New Year Celebration?
