Palace in the Sky LO for Sketchy Thursday & Colorful Creations

When I saw the July Guest Design Team Contest at Sketchy Thursday and then the Colorful Creations "Inspired By" Challenge, I thought of joining by making an LO with an old photo taken at the Palace in The Sky which I couldn't remember when it was taken but have estimated for it to be a decade old photo.  The place was supposed to be a resthouse by our former dictator president when he was still in power.  But when the EDSA people revolution erupted, construction of this place was stopped until to this day. . .

SUPPLIES:  Paper: Echo Park, Letter Stickers: Nikki Sivils, Marker: American Crafts, Other: Scalloped Die Cut Paper.

NOTES for Sketchy Thursday:  I made use of the sketch but I made some changes e.g. I made use of only (1) photo instead of (3) smaller ones; the title of the LO I placed inside the scalloped paper, above and below the photo instead of below the scalloped paper as shown in the sketch.  For the photo inspiration, I made use of the colors reddish pink and blue which could be found on the cherries photo, colors of the fruits in the popsicle photo and the color of the sprinkles on the cupcake inspiration photos from Sketchy Thursday.

Inspiration sketch by Sketchy Thursday

NOTES for Colorful Creations:  I made use of the blue, black and brown colors on the cake photo inspiration.  Plus the few polka-dotted black spots decored on the cake photo.
