"Thinking of You" Card

Still happy with my Nikki Sivils stash from previous class' left-overs and winnings.  I made a greeting card out of them.  It was also my 1st foray into using real stitching on a creation.  I usually do faux.  This time I took the plunge.  I made use of Fresh Brewed Designs' image: Flower Mug .  My concept was "Thinking of You while I'm having my cup of tea".  I also consider the colors used on this card as summer and fun colors.  So, here's my card:

"Just A Smile Away" LO published at Practical Scrappers

That was fast!  I was surprised upon arriving home and checking on the roster of blogs that I follow that Practical Scrappers had published and immediately posted their chosen Ugly Papers submitted entries.  I guess, I forgot that it was a Challenge Me "Tuesday" featuring Ugly Papers portion that I submitted my work with.  Forgetful me!! lol

I was so glad that my 1st DT work was pubbed with them.  Kaboodle Doodle where I just started as design team member has just posted the challenge with our launching work.  It was as if good news after good news came raining today, making it a wonderful Tuesday the 12th of July 2011 for me (or 11th of July at US timezone).  I just couldn't be more happier.

"Just A Smile Away"LO with Kaboodle Doodle's Challenge #75 - Cut Something with Scissors (My 1st DT Stint)

I'm so thrilled to share with you that I've been accepted at Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog as part of their Design Team.  Should I say . . . I'm finally a Designer?! lol  It's my 1st DT Stint!!  Yippee!!

I have finally reached my last hopeful goal, as written at my blog's header which is "I-design".  Not easily be contented, I have yet to fulfill my duties and continue aiming for more . . . or what's next?  Let me see what else I could add to my goal . . . . but first I better do my duties and responsibilities. . . =)

My 1st DT work with Kaboodle Doodles is for their Challenge #75 -- cut out your image or something else with scissors or knife.  Winner to be randomly drawn and announced on Tues., July 19, 2011 (US timezone) with prize of 3 digi stamps of choice sponsored by Stamp Fairy.  Chosen Top 3 among the participants gets a blinkie as bragging rights for their blog.  Participants have until Sun., July 17, 2011 (US timezone) to upload their entries at Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog.

Kaboodle Doodle is encouraging scrappers to join in on their challenges aside from cardmakers.  That explains why they got me - a scrapper.  Thus, I'm making LOs for them.

Do visit Kaboodle Doodle's Challenge Blog for more inspiration from my fellow DT Members on Challenge #75.  Do enjoy the Challenge Blog with me . . . Hope to see yah around at Kaboodle!!

Here's my 1st LO with them:

SUPPLIES:
Papers: KYT Manufacturing Corp., Alphabet: American Craft Thickers,  Digi Image: Stamp Fairy's "Thank You 5",  Chipboard Lamp Post: Dusty Attic, Marker: American Craft, Rhinestones Strass: Studio 18, Other: Pattern Papers.

DESIGN NOTES:
I fussy Cut the Stamp Fairy's "Thank You 5" digital image and fussy cut the roses on the pattern paper.  Had both of them matted and fussy cut again.  Popped up the edges of the fussy cut roses facing the photo at the center.  Also, popped up the Stamp Fairy & my photo at center with foam squares for dimension. Layout for Scrapbook Challenges' Seasons of Change Hop On

Scrapbook Challenges  has a Seasons of Change Hop On. If you’re wondering what a “Hop On” is, it’s a blog hop with a twist. Once you finish hopping along the DT blog's trail, you can choose to create a project based on the same sketch the DT used and post it to on your own blog. Then you add a link of your blogpost to the appropriate or corresponding thread in the Scrapbook Challenges forum which is called the "Seasons of Change Hop On Thread".

To begin at the start of the bloghop, go on to Brynn’s Blog, her blog links to the next stop and they link the next person until the end of the hop of all the DTs' blogs of Scrapbook Challenges. Then you go to the Seasons of Change Hop On Thread. You leave a comment on the thread.  You also get to check out, view and comment on the members posts and view their corresponding Hop On blogpost links.  You could follow the instructions on how to "Hop On" too, just like we members did.  Have fun and enjoy the hop!!

Note:  The above write-up was patterned after fellow Scrapbook Challenge member Doris Widder's blog write up which I believe concisely explains the event.  It is only then that I fully understood what the term "Hop On" refers to. =)

My Creative Space - New Additions & Storage Bins

I'm getting more comfy with my craft room these past few months that I added my own board on the wall above my craft table - an altered canvas with an altered clipboard from a previous challenge & make n take.  It's in a dark shade of pink:

My craft table corner of my creative space

I had (2) major tool additions too with (1) shown on the table in the above photo.  They are the Easy Stitch Max for my real venture into stitching on paper & the Dymo Letra Tag for all the journaling and sub-title needs:

For my storage needs, I have so far made use of plastic bins . . . may it for any sized-embellishments and also for tools such as my new Dymo Letra Tag, punches, glue shot . . . etc.

For my papers, I have a bigger than regular magazine box for my 12x12s and a regular stand-up magazine box for my 8.5x11s.

Below is a photo of my maximized corner of my craft room's scrapbook supplies cart with various sizes of storage bins & boxes with their respective uses:
