"Phonebanker" LO published at Practical Scrappers: Layouts using Chipboard

I didn't know that Practical Scrappers was going to have another post on chipboards. After seeing the fantastic submissions on their 1st published post featuring altered chipboards, I was no longer expecting for (1) of my (6) submissions to be published. But, I guess they silently heard my heavy sigh and had another posting. ;-)

Out of my (6) submissions, the "Phonebanker" LO was chosen to be published at Practical Scrappers: Layouts using Chipboard. (Note: Since my LO is currently published at SNR Sept 2011 issue, my layout is temporarily taken down from Practical Scrappers blogpost to give way to the publication terms of SNR magazine.) I have to agree that this layout fits their theme for I made use of laser-cut, raw or naked chipboard by Dusty Attic. I still have to learn how to dress up or alter a chipboard . . . maybe I could start by coloring these raw chipboard but I still have no idea which coloring product to use as they are many to choose from . . . and hopefully within reach of my budget. {sigh} But for the meantime I'm happy with what I have. =)

Thanks Practical Scrapper Erin for the published post!

"Rowena's" LO for Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #83: Ric Rac, Fabric or Lace (9th DT Work)

I wanted something pretty and the thought of lace just couldn't leave my mind.  I guess I was inspired by Rochelle Mae Bien's Mother's Day project which had pretty lace all over. Thus, I thought of suggesting it as the theme for Kaboodle Doodles challenge this week. . . I just added 2 more items as alternative to lace.

So, without further ado, Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #83 is RicRac, Fabric or Lace, Anyone?  You could submit any project as long as it fits the challenge theme.  Winner to be drawn randomly with sponsor prize of 5 images from Robyn's Fetish Tues, Sep. 13, 2011 at US timezone.  Participants have until Sun., Sept. 11, 2011 to link their entries at the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog.

SUPPLIES:  Die Cut Paper:  Rhonna Farrer, Alphabet: All About Scrapbooking, Flowers: Prima, Ric Rac: All About Scrapbooking, Flower Trim: All About Scrapbooking, Journaling Label: Dymo, Digi Image: Robyn’s Fetish “Hot Coco”, Cyrstals:  Zva Creative, Other: Lace, Fabric, TOOLS: Glue Shot: Stanley.

I shunned of using a sketch for my layout this time.  It was a DIY layout for me.  I colored my Robyn's Fetish Hot Coco digi image this time too.  And I decided to make use of all the items on the challenge's theme.  I got the purple and dark blue ricrac, the white lace & created a DIY fabric flower.  What else could anyone ask for? lol

So, if it fits your while, drop by Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog for more inspiration from my fellow DT mates.  Don't hesitate to join in on the fun too!  Hope to see you there!
